Empowering Lives. Restoring Families .® Responsibilities Adventure Therapy is a component of Newport Healthcare’s experiential education program. In Adventure Therapy, the facilitator is guiding clients through various activities that seek to engage, challenge and enact change through experience. All Adventure Therapy groups should include two components: the activity itself and the process group. Certain activities lend itself to the process group being done in the middle of the activity and some activities have the process group at the end. The process group is an opportunity for the facilitator to encourage the clients to reflect parallels in their life experiences with their experiences in the activity itself.
