At Country Manor in Sartell, MN, we are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Environmental Tech, part-time. This position will work 2:00 pm-8:30 pm, alternating 3 days/4 days per week, every other weekend, and every other holiday. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and odor-free living environment for residents and family. As an Environmental Tech, you will: - Perform housekeeping duties such as disinfecting, dusting, mopping, cleaning mirrors, walls and floors, emptying garbage, organizing furniture, vacuuming, and other related duties. - Use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of cleaning equipment such as buffers, carts, vacuum cleaners, extractors, etc. - Keep work areas and utility rooms neat and orderly. - Report needed improvements and repairs to Director of Housekeeping and Laundry. - Maintain good rapport with residents, families and visitors and refer all medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge. - Responsible for organizing and completing scheduled duties and special projects as assigned. - Responsible to know and comply with facility and department safety rules. - Assist with supply inventory for scheduled projects. - Vacuum facility hallways. - Collect and dispose of all refuse from designated locations and operate trash compactor as assigned. - Sweep and mop all Care Center dining rooms daily. - Scrub the kitchen floors daily. - Carpet shampooing, buffing floors, stripping, and waxing floors as scheduled. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Must be 18 years of age. - Must be able and willing to assume responsibility for the sanitation and cleanliness of assigned work areas throughout the facility. - Must have ability to understand and follow directions, both oral and written. - Must be able to work with residents, supervisors and peers in a cooperative and helpful manner. - Must have physical and mental health sufficient to perform job tasks. - Must be neat in appearance and in uniform at all times including name badge. - Must conform to and follow established routines, philosophy and objectives of the facility. - Experience in housekeeping duties and operating housekeeping equipment preferred, but not required. - Experience with floor care equipment, i.e. scrubber, extractor, wax strippers & wax. - Must display a great deal of patience, consideration and tact when dealing with staff, tenants, visitors and residents. - Must be able to operate trash compactor. *Benefits & Perks: At Country Manor, we believe in enriching lives - those of our residents, and those of our employees.
