General Music (PreK-Grade 8) and Beginning Band Teacher Saint Andrew Catholic School – Elk River, MN Full-Time Reports To: Principal Saint Andrew Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate full time General Music (PreK-Grade 8) and Beginning Band Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. As a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, we are looking for an educator who will inspire students to grow intellectually and spiritually while fostering a love for music. Job Responsibilities: - Teach general music to PreK – Grade 8 students - Teach beginner to intermediate level band lessons to Grade 4 – 8 students - Prepare students to sing and/or accompany songs at Mass - Plan and prepare students for 2-3 concerts during the academic year - Develop engaging lesson plans that meet academic standards and promote critical thinking, integrating Catholic values into lessons. - Create a positive and supportive learning environment. - Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods. - Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success. - Participate in school events, professional development, and faith-based activities. Job Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Music or related field - Current State of Minnesota Teaching License (or willingness to obtain). - Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. - Knowledge and ability to lead classroom music and band classes for elementary and middle school grades. - Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction.
