Volunteering & Faith

Thank you for helping.

Volunteering is much more than a means to pass the time, it’s a lifestyle in central Minnesota. Greater St. Cloud is home to more than 100 nonprofit organizations, making it one of the highest per capita in the state. We’re a friendly, caring bunch devoted to the betterment of our community and the quality of life for the people living in it.

There are a number of ways to get involved, but if you’re looking for a place to start, the United Way of Central Minnesota is an excellent resource. Their Volunteer Platform is routinely updated to deliver the organizations most in need at any given moment. St. Cloud Area Volunteer Coordinators can also direct you to dozens of other groups in the area looking for volunteers.

We’re a community of many faiths.

Another common route to integrating into a new community is through faith. Greater St. Cloud is proud of its vast list of places to gather and worship, including historic cathedrals, intimate mosques and new age sanctuaries. Church remains an integral part of life for many of our community members. If you are new to our community and have lived in the U.S. for less than five years, Arrive Ministries provides a host of services to help you get settled.
