Job Details Description Summary: The Sr. Human Resources Generalist performs a variety of complex human resources duties, partnering closely with plant operations leadership, in supporting HR processes and projects which align to plant goals and strategies. The successful incumbent will serve as the point of contact to provide day to day guidance to employees and front-line supervisors on talent acquisition, coaching, employee training, and employee relations. Typically, the Sr. Human Resources Generalist oversees HR at multiple facilities or in a single, large facility. Responsibilities: - Identify and deliver solutions to support business leaders on decisions related to talent, employee relations, recruitment and compensation. - Collaborate with broader HR team to roll-out and implement HR strategies to enable business objectives and support future business growth. - Assist in developing and implementing various company-wide Human Resources initiatives and projects. - Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and employee training development initiatives, including conducting research, developing presentations and materials, and organizing and/or conducting training programs on various topics to employees. - Provide training and development resources to facilitate employee growth and development. Manage the recruitment, selection and onboarding of all facility personnel. - Administer company’s substance abuse testing program to support company’s drug free and alcohol-free policies. - Prepares and fosters positive employee communication through verbal and written communications. - Cultivate and promote a strong culture of safety, health and wellness. - Oversee effective claims management including the investigation of incidents, completion or required forms and reporting for all workers compensation cases. - Participate in the Safety Committee and the investigation of employee accidents, injuries and near misses. - Supports the administration of compensation programs and performance management program. - Development and implement HR personnel policies and procedures. - Conducts internal investigations that may be highly sensitive, confidential or complex and prepare required documentation with a focus on issue resolution. - Manage administrative activities for department (maintaining employee records, data entry, filing, reporting, processing invoices, etc.). - Maintain in-depth current knowledge of federal, state and local regulations to ensure compliance. - Responsible for maintaining time and attendance, discipline and personnel records. Responds to general employee inquiries on related topics to include benefits, payroll, employee leave, schedules and compensation. - Establish and maintain a strong and positive presence for the company within the local community. - Perform other job-related duties as requested. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Five (5) or more years of Human Resources experience including recruiting, employee relations, benefits and compensation. Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification(s) preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic human resources leadership to large, complex operations and/or multi-unit manufacturing facilities. Strong project management, organization and analytical skills. Experience working in a fast paced, complex, dynamic business environment. Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects. Possess initiative to improve processes and have a customer service-oriented mindset. Demonstrate ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential information. Strong skills in using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. at times.
