Job Description Bremer Wealth is seeking a Specialized Trust Estate Administration Specialist to support Bremer's trust officers with the administration of estates, trusts and conservatorship matters for which Bremer Bank is serving as a fiduciary. Responsibilities include: Assist with the day-to-day administration of complex personal trusts, estates and conservatorships, prepare account inventory and annual accounts, process transactions, ensure compliance with state and federal laws and internal policies and procedures Read and interpret legal documents including wills, trust agreements, insurance policies, contracts, court orders and ensure administration consistent with the terms of such documents Understand basic income tax rules and deadlines relating to the taxation of individual income and fiduciary accounts, coordinate the preparation and review of tax returns; Advise clients on complex tax and investment issues to allow them to make the best financial decisions Written and oral communication with internal and external partners, including outside attorneys, court clerks, CPAs, appraisers, bankers, brokers and other professionals on various aspects of personal trust and estate administration Respond to the questions, concerns, needs and requests of trust beneficiaries, estate heirs and devisees, and others relating to administration issues Support trust officers and wealth advisors in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin with trust administration issues/challenges, including evaluation of potential new accounts, opening and closing accounts, managing trust income and expenses, distributions to maximize benefits to clients and minimize risks Work closely with personal trust operations, tax, compliance and vendor management departments Develop and maintain a practical working knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations relating to probate, trust administration, conservatorships, life insurance trust administration Periodically review all accounts to ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years experience in personal trust administration, estate and conservatorship administration at a trust company, bank trust department or large law firm. Working knowledge of fiduciary account administration. Bachelor's degree or higher.
