The Sheet Press Operator is responsible for performing offset printing functions on assigned press within predetermined time frames as established in bid estimates. To be the shift focal point of communication relative to productivity, quality, and raw material usage on assigned equipment. Aids in controlling costs through effective material usage. Ensures work produced exceeds quality guidelines. Performs preventative maintenance on assigned press. Records and tracks job details. Trains and guides new and upcoming operators as needed. Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Read understand job ticket and instructions - Accurately fill out all paperwork required - Setup and download programs based on job specifications - Record all time, status entries and materials correctly - Ensure production times meet or exceed estimated standards on job ticket Basic Qualifications: - High School diploma or GED - Excellent troubleshooting skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Demonstrated attention to detail, problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude Desired Skills and Abilities: - Two + years in trade on similar equipment, graphic arts and/or technical school background - Prior continuous work experience - Prior experience using pallet jack, computer, hand tools and small machines Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis - Must be able to stand/work 12 hours with overtime hours as needed - Training will be provided.
