The Sharepoint Developer is the primary owner and contributor to the administration, development, maintenance, and enhancement of business tools/systems, including but not limited to providing specialized technical and business knowledge to execute on corporate strategy, vision, initiatives, and projects. This role seeks to intimately understand the business and proactively initiate best-in-class strategies for improvement through use of our tools and systems. This role collaborates with Marco internal customers to lead the definition of detailed customer technical requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and develop and present solutions. This role is an internal consultant and leader, providing technical guidance and business process expertise on the most complex projects and may contribute to strategic planning matters from a technical or business standpoint, specific to the business tool/system roadmap. Main Responsibilities: - Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including functional & risk analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support - Collaborate closely with the Business Analyst team to gather requirements from end-users and other key stakeholders to ensure the existing tools or systems support Marco’s tactical and strategic activities - Translate business requirements into technical specifications. - Formulate and define application scope and objectives - Participate in business & end user testing for application development deployment (led by the BA team) - Develop and execute test scripts for upgrades & implementations - Lead the development and deployment processes for assigned projects, including enhancements, upgrades & implementations - Define, design, and facilitate business and technical process improvement within the tools or systems - Drive the project pipeline based on business need and manage project backlog, prioritizing needs based on ROI, in conjunction with the Office of the CTO - Develop, own, and execute the product roadmap, in conjunction with the Office of the CTO - Lead collaboration with the business to drive best-practice direction of tool or system use - Partner with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform of the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization - Engage and collaborate with the business to address strategic business issues involving content management, forms automation & SharePoint best practices to align vision and major technology strategies and ensure Sharepoint capabilities are optimized - Identify applicable technology alternatives to given business problems - Be a source of escalation for end user support and application administration, coordinating with BSA I/II, Platform Operations and IS Support when needed - Identify cause and implement solutions to business problems, assessing and communicating issues of technology impact on the business - Understand the procedures and expected system performance associated with the introduction of new information technologies, while seeking ways to collaborate with other IT members (BA, Development, DevOps) to facilitate transitions - Responsible for platform data quality and appropriate correctable actions - Train and develop others through good coaching skills, mentoring BSAI and BSAII positions - Facilitate a strategic vendor relationship through active collaboration toward mutually beneficial goals, ensuring Marco stakeholders are continually updated on relationship status - Facilitate training on applications and implementations· Participate in industry and application peer groups/advisory councils Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and six years of business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Solid understanding of workflow and data relationships - Excellent Troubleshooting, Analytical and Debugging skills - Strong problem-solving skills - Communication –Superior communication skills, working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of the organization - Excellent organizational and time/task management skills - Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events - Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner - Initiative – Be a self-starter. Don’t wait to be told what to do when you see a problem, however if you can’t resolve it yourself, use resources to find someone who can - Technical aptitude with solid understanding of the co-relationship between technical tools and business process10.
