Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Sewing Machine Operators sit or stand for long periods of time with continual movement of arms and hands while performing sewing tasks and may have to lift boxes of new items up to 20-30 pounds. The work requires pushing small carts filled with linen on a daily basis; and reaching over head to hang uniforms, scrubs, and lab coats on a conveyer system.
