The Senior Product Development (PD) Program Manager is responsible for leading key programs, initiatives, and projects in cross-functional core and development teams to advance the Neuromodulation & Pelvic Health Operating Units. Day in the life: • Accountable for overall development program execution including: program planning, budgeting, schedule creation, and execution. • Leads and leverages cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes, and therapies. • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between the core team, project team(s), and functional management. • Manages the development and implementation of product development process involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes. • Provide long-range strategy and direction to the program team incorporating cross-portfolio considerations including digital health related to priority, budget, schedule, and program interdependencies. • Manages status of product development projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. • Monitors the product development project from initiation through delivery. • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. • Develops mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, functional managers, and internal stakeholders. • Reviews requirements, facilitates requirements planning, requirements elicitation, and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders. • Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems. • Provides input to functional management on team member performance, as needed. • Manages day-to-day project activities, ensuring program objectives and milestones are delivered on-time and within budget. • Enable a team culture that adopts and fosters project management methodologies and best practices which create control, high-confidence, and predictable project plans and schedules. • Identifies and remove barriers for the project/program team(s) through execution. • Ensure appropriate departmental resources are assigned to the program/project and are available to effectively maintain the quality system (people, facilities, tools, and training). • Ensures the project/program complies with all aspects of the quality policy/system. • Problems and issues faced can be complex, difficult, and undefined requiring detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand the problem. • Other responsibilities, as required and assigned. Must Have: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience - An Advanced Degree and 5+ years of experience Nice to Have • 5+ years coordinating software development processes and/or projects • 5+ years of management experience. • 5+ years coordinating product development processes and/or projects. • 7+ years in medical device product development, or other highly regulated environment. • Experience working within an agile development framework. • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects/programs to completion. • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. • Familiarity with working within an agile development framework. • Highly developed skill set in project leadership practices including ability to balance risk, effectively influence diverse teams, and ownership of responsibility for outcomes. • Excellent downward, lateral, and upward communication skills. • Demonstrated balance of high-level strategic and detailed tactical thought processes.
