Job Details Description Assist in manual and machine tasks in make-ready, maintenance, and operation of heat set press to provide a quality product which meets customer quality and time requirements while meeting company profitability requirements. Education and/or Experience 1. Post high school graphic arts training preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 1. Read and understand job ticket. 2. Complete training and continue to follow procedures. 3. Maintain acceptable ‘splice mode’ efficiently. 4. Knowledge of different paper substrates. 5. Knowledge of viscosity and how it relates to applications of coating. 6. Ability to rolltend on all heatset presses. 7. Assist crew as needed in all positions. 8. Train towards the FW II and/or Robot Technician position. 9. Responsible to handle hazardous waste in a safe manner by following the safety procedures. 10. Follow set team procedures and processes. 11. Communicate and Complete shift to shift notes per job in a professional manner. 12. Complete all paperwork and use timekeeping system efficiently. 13. Assist in other areas of production as needed. 14. Maintain a clean and organized area/department. 15. Be cooperative, positive and respectful with leaders, coworkers and team. 16. Ensure all safety policies are followed and hold a high regard for the safety of others. 17. Participate in proper ergonomic practices as designed for this position. 18. Schedule all outside activities around work schedule when possible and work overtime as needed. 19. Responsible for informing operator and supervisor of any concerns that arise. 20. Be capable of performing daily, weekly, monthly, yearly TPM’s on equipment. 21. Meet or exceed actual vs. plan run and make-ready goals of 100%. 22. Attend and participate in team meetings. 23. Complete other tasks as requested by Supervisor/Manager. Skills and/or Knowledge include the following: 1. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills 2. Requires good knowledge of press operations preferred. 3. Good knowledge of paper and inventory handling preferred. 4. Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening). 5. Good math skills. 6. Physical effort – refer to physical demand analysis. 7. Proficiency/fluent with English language, both written and verbal.
