We are currently looking to add a Quality Control Technician to our Team. In this role you are r esponsible for for performing Quality Control Testing, Shelf-Life Testing, and Packaging Event Evaluations on Microbiologics products in accordance with the appropriate Company Device Master Record (DMR), policies and procedures with the objective to release only production products that meet all of Microbiologics acceptance criteria. Essential job duties include: - Perform Quality Control Testing on Microbiologics’ products in accordance with appropriate DMR. Products include microorganisms, slides and antigens, parasite suspensions, and molecular. Ensure identification and traceability of material. - Performs automated and manual testing. Troubleshoots when necessary. Reports problems to the appropriate Quality Control Technical Lead, Quality Control Manager or the Director of Quality Control. - Performs quality checks to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents and procedures. - Operates testing equipment such as identification instrumentation, enumeration equipment, pH, applying logic and various analytical methods to determine results - Recognize when results are out of specification and make appropriate notifications in accordance with procedures. - Documents results and tests accurately and timely according to Company policies and procedures. - Maintains and validates equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures. - Maintains familiarity with Microbiologics’ product inserts, technical manual, and current Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) and government regulations. - Performs maintenance per General Maintenance Schedule when applicable. - Conducts special projects as needed including but not limited to: writing procedures, performing validations, complete Change Orders, conduct training (cross train), and completion of non-conforming work investigations.
