Refine Search- has been retained to fill a Project Development Engineer for a global geotechnical engineering firm. The role will actively support Minnesota, Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, and surrounding areas. It will likely be home-based but also working in the field with customers developing your market. We seek a technical business development professional, with strong geotechnical expertise, to analyze, develop, and manage this market. The position will work with customers and potential customers to design innovative solutions to protect people and infrastructure from the dangers of geohazards. The individual we seek must have an ownership mentality, the desire, and the ability to grow and develop their market and build a book of business. You must be a P.E. with strong geotechnical engineering experience and solid market development experience. Our Customer’s culture is unique. How will you make a difference? - Analyze local market to create and implement tailored project development strategies that increase sales to existing clients and develop new clients. - Attends and hosts client meetings, trade shows, sales meetings, and other miscellaneous industry-related events. - Challenges the status quo of the territory and industry, identifying new ways to improve the client experience. - Coordinates with Operations to provide clients with timely proposals. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to make decisions and assessments quickly and accurately. - Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned geographical region. - Self-starter that can self-manage with little oversight. - Strong desire to develop their own book of business What you need to bring - Civil Engineering degree required with 10+ years of experience - Master’s degree in civil engineering preferred with 8+ years of experience - Geotechnical engineering experience required - Solutions selling experience - P.Eng. or PE required
