POSITION SUMMARY As a part of the Weld Department, you will be responsible for effective and safe daily activities on the weld shop floor. WHAT YOU WILL DO: - Must perform work allocated to production and quality standards - Must be capable of obtaining a structural welding certificate (CWB) - Must have a thorough knowledge of all types of wire feed or MIG welding procedures utilized by the company - Must be able to work from blueprints, process sheets and any other supporting document as required including SWI’s (standard work instructions) - Work within close tolerance and maintain high quality welds - Troubleshoot and problem solve weld issues - Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds - Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach throughout your shift - Must be present on the job to perform the assigned duties and be able to work overtime which is occasionally required to meet production schedules - Must perform other duties as assigned to include 5S, self-inspections and TPM (total productive maintenance) WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: - Welding diploma from a Technical College or 2 years of welding experience - Good communication skills, ability to work with little supervision, and ability work in a team environment - Must have good attendance and be present on the job. - Ability to read and follow intermediate measurements and instructions. - This is a safety sensitive position. - Must be available to work second (2nd) shift (4:00pm - 12:30am).
