The Production Scheduler performs tasks under the direct supervision of the Production Control Manager. Duties include developing, maintaining and regulating the production schedules for manufacturing. Schedulers must provide a reliable dispatch for Shop Supervisors and operators to follow, but also adjust flow when customers have shifts in demand. Daily review of material requirements and manning will be performed. This position requires working closely with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Plant Leadership, Manufacturing & Shipping personnel, and Quality. The ideal candidate can handle high-pressure situations when the need arises such as having direct contact with customers. Schedulers are required to attend the daily production meeting and be prepared to discuss status of their assigned work centers/areas and actions for improvement. Improved customer service, inventory flow/efficiency, and cost control are measures of success. Candidates must have very good organization skills, analytical ability and learning agility, possess excellent communication skills, have a keen sense of urgency, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork and collaboration are also keys to success.
