Position Summary: The Production Manager/Operations Manager is responsible for coaching and mentoring their team; on the floor providing solutions, looking for process improvements. Will be the liaison between meeting production goals by providing operational excellence. Work closely with both quality assurance and maintenance to keep standards and production moving forward……..and yes, by keeping coworkers and peers motivated and positive. You would be on the front-line of the business, overseeing production, tracking product yields, and making necessary adjustments. Ensuring that safety and USDA health standards are met throughout all steps of the manufacturing process. You would be a key player in upholding the trusted quality in which we have become known for. Can do, will do, team win…… positive attitude is critical! This role is located in the St. Cloud MN. Market PRIMARY ACOUNTABILITIES: - Responsible for achieving productivity, efficiency, cost, quality, and safety objectives of the plant. - Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills. - Manufacture and package products to customer specifications. - Be proactive….Lead! - Communicate with the maintenance department on concerns with equipment and preventative maintenance that supports production. - Communicate with General Manager/Plant Manager on production needs AND ways to improve the entire facility - Manage projects. - Evaluates processes and procedures for efficiency and profitability on a continual basis. - Meet company goals for yield and productivity their department and area of responsibility - Assure USDA and customer specifications are met - Enjoys working the floor, being visible and coaching…this is not a desk job! Education, Experience, Skills: - 3+ year’s Supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Organizational and leadership skills. - Excellent analytical, trouble shooting, conflict management and problem-solving skills. - Able to deal firmly and fairly with a diverse workforce. - Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office. - Must be flexible and available to work varied schedule. - History of success.
