We are currently hiring a **Process Development Technician IV** to work at our Rice Creek, Minnesota facility. This position will initially be a weekend position but might transition to different days and/or hours within a year. The initial days and hours will be Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Impact patient outcomes. Come for a job, stay for a career. **A Day in the Life** As a Process Development Technician IV, you will primarily be responsible for assisting in setting up and transferring manufacturing lines and performing testing to support process development. You will work with engineers to develop new processes as well as update existing ones. You will work with operators to improve processes and to ensure processes are performed correctly. You may occasionally design fixtures and equipment to support the manufacturing and testing of medical device products. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: + Perform a variety of duties in the chemical, electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. + Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems. + Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. + Operate related equipment, conduct tests and report data in prescribed format. + Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepare prescribed compounds and solutions. **Must Have: Minimum Requirements** + High School Diploma or GED + Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; may require vocational or technical education and advanced certification in addition to prior work experience. **Nice to Have** + Experience with one or more of the following: equipment automation, ultrasonic welding, spray/spin coating, and optical testing. + Experience using Excel and Minitab for data analysis + Experience using computer aided design software + Experience using and programming in manufacturing execution systems (FACTORYworks) + Experience developing and validating medical device manufacturing processes (IQ, OQ, PQ, and PPQ) + Process error proofing (poka-yoke) experience + Fixture design and development experience + Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously + Excellent oral and written communication skills; effective interpersonal and influence skills within the team and to management + Experience working with vendors and outside manufacturing resources to ensure robust and producible designs + Experience giving direction to other technicians + Experience with medical products + Experience with combination products (drug/device products) + Experience in a regulated industry + Familiarity with EHS requirements **About Medtronic** Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
