Description PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the efficient flow of product , the major and minor repair and maintenance of all machinery in the production area. Assist seasonal and/or full-time employees in the proper, safe, and efficient operation of the machinery. Supervise seasonal employees in their day-to-day duties. In the off season, will be involved in any number of maintenance activities including machine repair/ freezer repair/ fabrication and assisting in the installation of new equipment. Must meet all minimum requirements of Factory Mechanic C. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner. May perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures. Notify supervisor immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge: A two year certificate from college or technical school is preferred. Must have at least entry level knowledge of mechanical maintenance with six months to one year of experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral, or diagram form..
