This includes ensuring compliance with union requirements as well as state and federal regulations. Provide information to employees and external companies and assisting in all matters related to assigned area.IS THIS ROLE FOR YOU:Do you enjoy staying busy?You will attend project kick off meetings with the jobsite team and offer training on payroll processes; and provide back up for training field and job site office personnel on how to fill out timecards and any payroll paperwork.You will also enter and post weekly, monthly, and quarterly tax journal entries and input journal entries for job costs adjustments.In addition, you will supervise and coach Payroll Assistants, which includes conducting periodic performance reviews, providing feedback as well as overseeing workloads.Are you a detail-oriented and organized person?This person will set up withholding orders and process according to the specific state guidelines as well as ensure the orders calculate correctly in the payroll software. This person will process certified payroll report(s) and verify accuracy of subcontractor certified payroll reports for submittal of all reports to the required agency. You will generate and file all necessary payroll reports which includes tax reporting, and workers compensation to the appropriate states. Lastly, you will format unions in software system per master agreement, PLA and MOU which includes all overtime rules and fringe benefit tables setup; Creates reference spreadsheet for jobsite and payroll department and also assist with union audits and monthly union reporting.Position Minimum Requirements:Computer and office skills normally acquired through the completion of two-year post high school education or on the job experience.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with exposure to tax laws, unions, and payroll regulations for multi-state and multi-company payroll.*This is an hourly/ non-exempt level role that reports to the Payroll Manager.We are a unique team of talented, passionate and dedicated individuals.
