Job Description 32-48 hrs/two weeks. Mon-Fri 7am-7pm, every 3rd weekend, rotating holidays. B.F.O.Q. - Male (female candidates cannot be considered due to BFOQ) Summary: The Urology Tech functions under the direction of the RN and performs procedures related to orthopedic and urological care. Thru training, the Urology Tech has developed skills in providing urinary catheterizations, urinary drainage tube irrigations, ultrasound bladder scans, and supports home-going education related to self-catheterization and/or urinary drainage irrigation. This position requires flexibility in responding to calls in multiple patient care areas throughout the hospital. Age appropriate care is provided to patients and families. Implements and abides by customer service standards for a superior patient experience. EDUCATION Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training course or completion of three months of a nursing program required . Minimum of one year of direct patient care experience acceptable in lieu of required education. EXPERIENCE Minimum of one year experience as nursing assistant, student nurse, medic, EMT or similar experience . Additional training/orientation will be provided to achieve desired level of competency.
