60-72hrs pp; 7a-7:30p/7p-7:30a, e/o wknd, rotating holidays SUMMARY: Supports patient care needs by performing delegated non-nursing tasks. Responsible for assisting patient care team in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures and unit standards to provide quality patient care. Patients cared for are adults, with occasional care for adolescents ages 17 and up. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers. EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training course is preferred, or orientation will be given to obtain desired competence in lieu of experience. EXPERIENCE Basic knowledge of nursing assistant duties and responsibilities with Medical Terminology Course preferred. In lieu of experience, incumbent will be provided with adequate training to achieve desired competency. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card preferred.
