NURSING ASSISTANT (Neuroscience/Spine part-time Evenings)

32-64 hrs/pp; 3p-11:30p, every other weekend, rotating holidays JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting nursing staff in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures to provide quality patient care. Nursing Assistant is responsible to care for patients of all ages. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients, their families, and with co-workers. EDUCATION: Requires a level of knowledge normally acquired in the course of obtaining a high school diploma. Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training course is required, or equivalent experience. Basic knowledge of nursing assistant duties and responsibilities with Medical Terminology Course preferred. EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of nursing principles, policies and procedures.
