This need Is through the end of December with The potential for extension. They would like to start someone as soon as mid-September or when they can find a qualified candidate. They can start interviews next week. They will start with a HR phone screen to verify personality and culture match. If it goes well they will proceed to an in person at the Elk River location with the other ops technicians. Currently they have two ops engineers and two level 2 ops analysts. They have had a new grad in an entry level Ops analyst position and did not work out because he was not focused on customer service/satisfaction. The ideal candidate could be a working student completing their networking degree or new grad with education in networking. They would consider someone with light ops experience and doesn’t have a degree in it. They have budget for $32 bill $18 pay. She said if the perfect candidate with experience is a little higher she would need to get approval but feels $35 ish could happen. The hours are Monday through Friday 8 - 4:30 with half hour lunch. This is not a hands on networking router or switch position but will receive calls from technical staff in field offices with connectivity issues. Their job is to review previous tickets to help them try a few Hong’s and if needed forward to other ops members if more technical or to networking team if confirmed outage etc. They have their processes documented for this person to follow. This tech will spend about 50% on the phone tech to tech with connectivity from field to main network both Cisco VOIP and Cisco networking. They should understand networking, setup IP’s, network connectivity, and basic troubleshooting. The team is helpful and open to helping this person lean quickly so they can focus on their project work. This tech will also help with the proactive monitory of the network using their tools they will help them lean. They use HP Openview, O’Ryan, and Maximo for ticketing.
