80 hrs/pp; Mon-Fri. 8am-5pm *This position will have a network security focus, managing Centracare's Checkpoint Firewalls. JOB SUMMARY: The Network Engineer II is responsible for in-depth analysis, complex problem solving, design, capacity planning, implementation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of CentraCare's critical enterprise network infrastructure. Activities include in-depth analytics of network performance, capacity planning and design, ensuring uptime, resource availability; matching the organization's resources with the demand placed on them; proactively monitoring network performance and capacity; identifying and resolving complexed network problems; upgrading network hardware and software equipment; ensuring the quality, accuracy and security of the network. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers. EDUCATION: - Bachelor's Degree Degree in Computer Science or - Bachelor's Degree Degree in equivalent subject or - equivalent work experience. EXPERIENCE: - 6 years or more years of experience work on Cisco enterprise data networks. - In-depth knowledge of theories, practices and procedures with a variety of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN, wireless and Firewall network operations. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: - One of the following within 2 years of employment: Cisco – CCNA Certification or greater OR - If primary job duties assigned are not specifically related to working on Cisco software and hardware – Cisco CCT, Network+ certification or certification in area of primary responsibility is acceptable. - Certified Cisco Specialist Preferred or - Cisco Certified Network Professional - Certification in area of specialty ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: - Knowledgeable in advance routing, switching configurations. - Knowledgeable in Firewall configurations and network security tools and practices. - Knowledgeable with Cisco’s ACI, DNA Center, SD-LAN/WAN, Live-Action, Prime, MSE and ISE. - Strong troubleshooting, analytic, diagnostic skills, detail- oriented and critical thinking skills. - Ability to prioritize work assignments and/or problem solutions to endure completion within established timeframes. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong Microsoft Office suite capabilities. - Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills required. - Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively to address problems.
