*Description/Job Summary* The Maintenance Technician (Customer Service Technician) position works at customer sites to install and maintain food safety intervention systems as well as identify new opportunities within existing customers. Through theoretical principles, experience and hands-on performance, this position solves problems and applies performance modifications to our existing food safety intervention solutions to provide superior products and service that is even better than our products. Must be able to travel. *THIS IS A SAFETY- SENSITIVE JOB FOR PURPOSES OF THE ARKANSAS MEDICAL MARIJUANA ACT.* *Responsibilities/Duties* 1. Responsible for working with the assigned Business Unit to install and maintain food safety intervention systems and apply upgrades and enhancements to existing systems. 2. Provide regularly scheduled maintenance and training of plant personnel in the proper operations and maintenance of system. 3. Manage customer service activities for multiple plants within an assigned region. This will require being the primary point of contact for plant personnel. 4. Interfaces with customers to achieve outstanding customer loyalty through superior customer service. 5. Good communication skills, both verbal and written 6. Proven problem-solving ability 7. Excellent mechanical/electrical aptitude and abilities 8. Must be a self starter with the ability to work independently at times 9. Must be able to be a contributing member a team 10. Excellent customer service skills 11. Must have good decision making and time management skills 12. Basic Microsoft Office computer skills are required, primarily Outlook, Word and Excel 13. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. *Required Qualifications* Must have a valid driver's license and pass a drug screen and background check. This position requires the ability to read an electrical schematic and have a basic understanding of mechanical systems. Must have a high school diploma or GED and 3 years experience in a hands-on maintenance field. *Preferred Qualifications* Previous experience working in a food processing facility (preferably a poultry plant) is a plus along with the ability to speak Spanish. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. *Details* *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g., equipment operation, etc, plus 3 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. *COMMUNICATION SKILLS* Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
