Job Details Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. - Install and maintain equipment such as conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fork trucks, pallet jacks, material handling equipment, all graphic art related equipment, and building HVAC equipment. - Install all equipment as needed. - Provide recommendations and coordinate special projects. - Work with operators and maintenance team to maximize machine uptime and productivity. - Review maintenance requests, safety reports and estimate time/material required to complete the task. - Responsible to handle hazardous waste in a safe manner by following the safety procedures. - Read and understand work orders. - Respond to service calls, troubleshoot malfunctions, determine parts and repair procedures to place equipment in operating condition. - Complete paperwork and use timekeeping system efficiently. - Communicate with next shift about status of job(s) and any special instructions. - Maintain a clean and organized area/department. - Be cooperative, positive and respectful with leaders, coworkers and team. - Ensure all safety policies are followed and hold a high regard for the safety of others. - Participate in proper ergonomic practices as designed for this position. - Aggressively seek out opportunities for company and self-improvement. - Schedule all outside activities around work schedule when possible and work overtime as needed. - Responsible for informing leader of any concerns that arise. - Participate and support continuous improvement activities and suggest CIP ideas. - Participate in 6S/Lean manufacturing initiative. - Complete other tasks as requested by Leader. Skills and/or Knowledge include the following: - Ability to weld (electric, gas, brazing, etc.). - Ability to modify and fabricate equipment. - Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening). - Willingness to train others. - Ability to perform machine repair on all types of printing equipment preferred. - Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems using a volt ohm meter (VOM). - Ability to provide leadership on projects. - Ability to logically troubleshoot equipment. - Ability to read and understand written instructions. - Flexible in work schedule to meet internal and external customer needs. - Physical effort – refer to physical demand analysis. Qualifications Skills Behaviors : Motivations : Education Required High School or better. Experience Preferred Education and/or Experience: 1. Continue education as requested. 2. Apprenticeship or experience in an electro-mechanical related work environment. 3. Minimum of two years industrial maintenance or electro-mechanical trade experience. 4. Power Limited License (PLT) preferred.
