Description Perform all duties to maintain safety, quality and production output in the Stockroom / Shipping / Receiving Major Areas of Accountability: - Direct personnel, and prioritize work based on schedule of released work using effective communication with Scheduling, Assy Test / Machine Shop Managers and Stockroom employees - Setup, troubleshoot, operate and train employees on machines and equipment within the Department - Be main point of contact for questions involving Oracle transactions, receiving for both stockroom and dock, pick lists, VLM’s, baggers, kit bagger, label printers, laser marker, and shipping - Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report safety concerns immediately. Generate and communicate Safety Sirens (internal and external) - Communicate issues to employees, other leads, or other shifts as necessary - Identify, lead and complete at least 2 kaizen events per year to reduce waste and increase productivity - Share responsibility with other leaders of the security of the building (e.g. open and close the building) - Take initiative to learn assembly basics to better understand downstream operations and enhance ability to continuously improve upstream operations - Make decisions based on known policies/procedures with minimal supervision - Maintain quality and maximum efficiency - Report any unusual equipment or operational problems - Support other areas when manager or leads are absent - Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
