Join the talented, engaged and inclusive workforce dedicated to creating a better Minnesota.As the Direct Care and Treatment Classification and Compensation Director, you will oversee the division Classification and Compensation Team comprised of a complex organizational structure with multiple programs and diverse classifications. You'll provide agency wide leadership in the areas of organizational analysis, job design and classification, strategic planning, and compensation strategies. You will lead the team in initiating inclusive efforts for all employee career path development. As the DCT Classification and Compensation Director, you will be responsible for compliance with law, policy, and collective bargaining agreements/plans related to classification, compensation, and employee development, while remaining flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the organization. In this role you'll lead a team of human resources staff who carry out professional level classification and compensation functions.Principal responsibilities/major tasks include:+ Supervise and direct the work of DCT Class and Comp HR Staff in accordance with organizational strategy and mission-vision-values.+ Drive special projects, develops senior level presentations, and provides analysis to attract and retain the best industry talent.+ Coordinate class and comp functions across all HR divisions within DCT and develop and implement strategic direction in conjunction with the DCT HR Director.+ Develop and maintain a program-wide equitable compensation structure within the compensation program for the Executive branch of Minnesota State Government.+ The position will participate in collective bargaining by reviewing and making recommendations on bargaining proposals, in accordance with M.S. 13.37.**Minimum Qualifications**Leadership experience: Demonstrated leadership experience may include any of the following:o Experience as a supervisor, team lead, lead worker, OR project lead*o Completion of a State leadership development program, such as Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) or Senior Leadership Institute (SLI), L4, etc. ORo Completion of a similar or equivalent leadership development program through another organization ORo A paid or unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee, such as an Employee Resource Group (ERG). This experience must also include:1+ years of identifying issues, goals, and strategic actions100+ hours per year time commitment**AND**Three years of professional level experience demonstrating the following human resources competencies:**Classification**+ Job design and analysis+ Evaluation of and advisement on classification outcomes+ Understanding of classification system parameters and areas of flexibility to create employee career paths**Compensation**+ Compensation analysis and advisement, including equitable compensation processes+ Evaluation and advisement on compensation requests/projects+ Market salary research and comparison**Management Business Partnership**+ Organizational design and development+ Strategic planning+ Develop or advise on classification policies and best practices+ Interpretation of contract/pay plans and related policies and provide recommendations to division leadership on compliance and best practice+ Analyze data trends and make recommendations to advance organizational strategy**Completion of a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field will substitute for one year of experience****Completion of an Associate Degree in Human Resources or related field will substitute for 6 months of experience****Preferred Qualifications**+ Our employees are dedicated to ensuring cultural responsiveness.
