This role will support the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health businesses and reports to the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health User Experience Director. This role and the team are responsible for full-lifecycle user experience and human factors deliverables from early user research through fielded product support.**Neuroscience**Neuroscience Group develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes.**BRAIN THERAPIES** offers an integrated portfolio of devicesand therapies for the treatment of neurological disorders and diseases, as well as surgical technologies designed to improve the precision and workflow of neuro procedures.**PAIN THERAPIES** offers solutions from early interventional procedures to implantable surgical technologies that treat chronic pain as well as pain from spinal fractures, cancer and severe spasticity.**SPECIALTY THERAPIES** offers a broad portfolio that addresses urologic and gastrointestinal disorders, conditions of the ear, nose and throat, as well as electrosurgical products for soft tissue dissection and hemostatic sealing of soft tissue and bone.**A Day in the Life**Below is a list of Specific Job Responsibilities:+ Recruit, develop, and retain high performing human factors engineers and UX designers. Ensure team capabilities meet the evolving HFE and UX needs for the business.+ Empower team of human factors engineers and UX designers to carry out human centered design principles in product development efforts.+ Identify and deploy the appropriate team members to programs and efforts to ensure user experience business objectives are met.+ Develop talent within the organization and lead team members through professional development to maximize their potential.+ Direct the work of human factors engineers, UX designers, and outside consultants to effectively and efficiently support product development efforts within the company.+ Develop collaborative working relationships within the RD and marketing organization to advocate and promote for development of products which elevate the user experience.**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**+ Bachelors degree in a technically related field required+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience**Nice to Have**+ B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. degree in in Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, or related engineering field.+ Minimum 2 years or more experience as an engineering manager in a product development role is strongly preferred.+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant human factors/usability engineering experience in hardware and software product development industry.+ Experience in medical device, or similar regulated industry.+ Ability to lead team to practical solutions that satisfy regulatory, engineering, and business needs with limited resources and time.+ Ability to effectively direct the activities of a human factors/usability engineering team supporting multiple simultaneous development projects.+ Ability to work seamlessly across various departments (e.g. engineering, marketing, regulatory) and levels of management within the organization. Excellent collaboration skills.+ Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
