POSITION SUMMARY The Human Resource Manager will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission, values and talent strategy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Lives and leads with the SCIPI values by chairing committees that enhance the culture of the organization. • Oversees the management of internal communication platforms within the company to share company news, fun events and announcements. • Collaborates with leadership team to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. • Serves as a resource for team members by listening to concerns and needs and makes recommendations to leadership for a resolution that provides the best outcome for all parties. • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, recommends and implements policies, processes, training, and initiatives to support SCIPI and divisional strategies. • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management. • Sources brokers and benefit carriers and negotiates the best rates/benefits for both US and Canadian team members. • Oversees the administration of human resource programs including compensation, benefits, leave of absence programs, disciplinary process, investigations, performance management, recognition, ESOP, 401k plans, health plans, COBRA, and occupational health and safety programs. • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance. • Manages payroll providers and bi-weekly submittal of payroll and any payroll audits requested for both US and Canada. • Manages safety program and compliance with OSHA standards by working with divisional safety committees and work comp carrier. • Works with leadership team to identify growth-potential team members and assists with coordinating leadership training and opportunities to enhance professional development across the organization. • Performs other duties as required. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in Business with emphasis in Human Resources or equivalent job experience. • 4 years of prior Human Resource experience. • Driver’s license with good clean driving record. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE • 6 years of prior Human Resource experience. • 2 years of prior Human Resource management experience. • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test. • Must be able to meet with employees and conduct tours at multiple sites including inside shop locations which may be dusty or dirty for the purpose of assisting employees and potential new hires Rev. 04/04/2022 ADM
