Department: Support Services Supervisor: Brandon Rausch Job Summary: This position is responsible for the repairs, services and maintenance of all mobile equipment and power generators within the company. This position is also responsible for keeping complete and accurate records of repairs made, promoting safety and a positive work environment. These duties are to be performed with little to no supervision. Duties: Tests and troubleshoots all types of machinery/equipment accurately to find malfunctions Maintains knowledge in diagnosing/repairing computer controlled systems, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspensions, drive train components, differentials, transfer cases, transmissions, gasoline and diesel powered engines, power generator sets, HVAC systems, fuel systems, portable air compressors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems on light and heavy equipment Reads and understands repair manuals, electrical and hydraulic schematics Repairs and installs tire chains on equipment Fabricates, repairs, modifies, assembles and installs parts as needed Washes, lubricates, and performs other preventative maintenance on equipment Maintains clean, organized shop, work area, service truck and complete set of tools Travels to other company locations, typically on short notice Assists training others as needed Orders parts occasionally to make repairs Performs rigging duties for moving and disassembly/assembly of equipment Audits continuously the Coldspring QMS (Quality Management System: PM & TPM Checklists) as well as OEE Standards for equipment Operates a computer and diagnostic equipment Operates hand tools such as grinders, drills, power/pneumatic tools, torches, welders, and lathes Operates overhead cranes/hoists, mobile cranes, heavy equipment, semi-tractor, farm tractor, fork-lifts, skid loader and other equipment as needed Skills & Knowledge: Exhibits a good mechanical ability and aptitude Self-motivated with a sense of urgency Demonstrates strong problem solving skills, communication skills and dexterity. Makes sound judgments regarding heavy equipment repairs and completed according to high standards Uses computers and programs proficiently Physical Demands: Climbs, bends, keels, stoops, crawls regularly Lifts up to 75 pounds regularly Requirements: Works inside and outside including in adverse weather conditions Exposed to electrical and fall hazards Works in constant noise Exposed to humidity, fumes, dust, odors, solvents, grease/oil, skin irritants, and chemicals Works in confined, vibrating spaces Education: Vocational degree in related field; as well as have or be able to obtain and maintain a CDL License and Health Card Experience: 2 years related experience in this field Status: This is a full-time hourly position.
