Job Description The Head of CRE Technology & Architecture is responsible for the early stage architecting of innovative and complex solutions as well as building solutions using emerging technologies for internal use or alongside our customers as part of digital disruption and transformation strategy . This role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by mapping common business problems to end-to-end technology solutions. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to engage in discussions with other senior-level technology decision-makers related to agility, business value, and end-to-end information technology solutions. The Head of CRE Technology & Architecture is a leader of other engineers, consultants, and partners in our business, and has a passion for delivering best-in-class solutions which are demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects . Responsibilities As the Head of CRE Technology & Architecture, you will be responsible for leading teams focused on Data Architecture, Product Development, API Development, Quality Assurance, and Dev Ops. To be credible, you must have current and deep experience with the implementation of a data platform capable of consuming data from multiple data sources and publishing data to multiple consumers including using API first thinking, data marts, and data warehouse, to support operations and product development. And, you should be experienced in the principles of systems and data architecture, product development, and technology transformation allowing you to define or guide the team to appropriate solutions . Including: - Driving the CRE OU’s technology architecture to support business objectives - Advising on data model(s) that will support both product and operational needs - Establish processes to enable data management and data governance including MDM, lineage, visibility & entitlements - Leverage and further develop advanced API/Microservices framework and create reusable components across different product lines. - Work as a Technical Product Owner in partnership with our Business Product Owners to define the implementation strategy for data-driven products - Work with our product and quantitative modeling organizations to develop business requirements into architecture and integrate them into our longer-term platform strategy - Stay up to date on new tools & techniques in the data space - Lead and mentor other team members Qualifications Qualifications - 15 + years of experience architecting, designing, and developing technology solutions across both relational and non-relational data platforms, APIs, and end-user products - Experience architecting, designing and developing large scale data solutions utilizing a mixture of Big ?Data and Relational ?database platforms on AWS or Azure - Deep understanding of data modeling that facilitates both operational insights and reporting as well as enabling advanced AI/ML models to develop data-driven recommendations - Ability to move between high-level architectural review/design and the “roll up the sleeves” level of providing architectural oversight for project delivery. - Proven experience leading teams resulting in the successful deployment of applications built on data platforms - The ability to drive technical ideas and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences - Have acted as technical lead or architect responsible for organizing and mentoring all levels of technology staff - Architectural understanding of and implementation experience with the following solution architecture areas: Modern Applications, Data and Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence Solutions, Application Architectures including the use of cloud-based technology Application Life Cycle Management and Application Platform processes and technology capabilities, Data and Database Management, SQL/BI, and application middleware and messaging architectures.
