Minnesota Native Landscapes, a leader in ecological restoration, has openings for Greenhouse Technicians working for the Products department based at our Foley location. This is a seasonal, entry-level position with the potential for long-term employment. Full-time or part-time positions available. The Greenhouse Technician is responsible for assisting in the production and distribution of native plants and seed. Duties and Responsibilities: - Production of native plants including: - Seeding - Transplanting - Plant Maintenance - Fulfills plant orders as assigned by sales team. - Packages and distributes plant orders. - Assists in facilities maintenance. - Develops a working knowledge of native plants and ecosystems. - Performs additional greenhouse duties as assigned. - Assists with seed production, and other duties, as assigned. Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Must have experience in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, or other relatable occupation. - An interest in native plants and wildlife preferred. - Able to work independently, as well as part of a team. - Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. - Able to prioritize work. - Passion for the company's mission to "Heal the Earth". - Demonstrated success with living the company's core values of passion for the mission, excellence, innovation, real grit, and positivity. Physical Requirements: - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Prolonged periods of time standing. - Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, reach, and move as needed to complete various plant production duties. - Able to work long hours, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends as needed. - Must be able to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold.
