Job Description Job Summary: Avenu is seeking an experienced software support professional to provide front line software application resolutions for our Public Sector, New Vision financial application suite for both on premise and remote processing hosted client base. Ideal candidate will work collaboratively with technical/programming personnel on Level 2 & 3 severity level issues to provide high level of customer satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities: - Front line issue resolution via phone, e-mail and Web. - Responsible for in-depth troubleshooting & problem determination in resolution of software issues. - Identify software issues through recreation of customer issue and provide necessary details needed for associated bug, enhancement or change request. - Responsible for thorough testing of programming enhancements and client change requests assuring quality of final deliverables. - Provide User training via Web as well as at customer sites. - Development & preparation of procedural User documentation and presentations. - Travel as necessary up to 20% Education and Experience: - Bachelor Degree preferred with 3 – 5 years of Business workflow experience including Accounts Receivable, Accounts payable, Governmental Financial Systems, Payroll, Human Resources. - Experience in working with external agencies (IRS, SSA, & State Retirement systems) in providing electronic file submissions highly desired. - Experience with software testing and quality assurance. - Experience with COBOL/RPG application environments. - Strong overall knowledge in MS Office applications. - AS400 – iSeries operations experience is a plus. - Experience with Capital/Fixed Assets & New York Tax Collection is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Strong Customer service and analytical skills required. - Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, verbal & written with ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical individuals. - Must be able to work independently and within a team environment to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer. Physical Demands: - Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day - Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine - This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office - The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone Company Description:
