As an Estimator with Blattner you will be responsible for completing the estimating process and technical compliance with all RFP requirements. You will analyze plans/drawings, specifications, vendor proposals, review subcontractor quotes, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. Your role as the estimator is to ensure scope, schedule and bid price match. As an Estimator with Blattner you will be responsible for completing the estimating process and technical compliance with all RFP requirements. You will analyze plans/drawings, specifications, vendor proposals, review subcontractor quotes, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. Your role as the estimator is to ensure scope, schedule and bid price match. IS THIS ROLE FOR YOU: Are you detail oriented? - You will review proposal specifications and drawings to determine and establish scope of work responsibilities, required contents of estimate and critical tasks to complete the project. You will also review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering, quality or availability of materials. You will be capable of developing a plan on how to build and schedule the project along with methods used and prepare a level one schedule and thought process for sequencing the project. Do you enjoy travel? - We have projects all over the country! You will visit project sites (up to 50% travel) to review cost/ production reports to compare actual cost and plan to the estimate. Are you analytical & organized? - You will calculate various statistical data: quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs, equipment cost, and specialty items. In addition, you will track and research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports and bridging documents to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates. You will also investigate and evaluate materials and services incorporated into the project. Position Minimum Requirements: - At least 5-years of related experience in similar roles within the renewable construction industry (Wind, Solar or Battery Storage) or 5-10 years of practical crew-based estimating in other non-renewable construction markets. - Four-year construction or engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. *This is a salaried/exempt level role that reports to a Senior Estimator.
