The Human Resources department at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John s University invites applications for the full-time, benefit-eligible position of Director of Human Resources. Reporting to the CSB and SJU Vice Presidents for Finance and Administration, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing strategic and visionary leadership consistent with the institutions mission and goals in all areas of Human Resources management, including but not limited to: campus culture; diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice (DEIJ); recruitment and onboarding of faculty and staff; employee relations, performance management; compensation and benefits administration; AA/EEO; comprehensive professional development programming; employment policies; succession planning; human resources data and analytics; and regulatory/legal compliance. The College of Saint Benedict (CSB) is a liberal arts college for women, and Saint John's University (SJU) is a liberal arts college for men and a graduate School of Theology for both men and women and is also the home of the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library and the Collegeville Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research. The campuses are located in the central lakes area of Minnesota, surrounded by more than 3,000 acres of pristine forests, prairies, and lakes. Create a strategic vision for a workplace where employees thrive and excel. Lead the Human Resources department in delivering quality consultation, high-quality programs, mission-based resources, proactive data and analytics, and responsive services to the campus communities. Lead, mentor, supervise, and evaluate the HR staff as they develop a talented workforce that contributes to the mission of CSB and SJU, advances the institutions visions, and collaboratively meets institutional goals. 2. Advise division heads and department supervisors on hiring processes, employment policies, employee relations issues, and disciplinary actions ensuring consistency in employment practices and fair and equitable treatment of employees. Consult with legal counsel, as necessary. 3. Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, and performance appraisal programs. Manage compensation administration to include salary survey collection, wage and salary plan design, compensation plan research, and annual compensation and market/range adjustments.
