**Description:** Job Summary: Responsible for overall completion and satisfaction of repairs at the dealership, which include scheduled maintenance, warranty and diagnostic work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Must complete basic to complex mechanical repairs without immediate supervision (depending on technician level). + Will perform repairs not limited to servicing all types of engines, drive trains, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems found on trucks and heavy equipment. + Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues. + Help maintain cleanliness and order in work area of the truck shop. + Responsible for reading shop manual and using digital tools efficiently. + Responsible for keeping current with changes in technology utilizing company dealership training, video library and written materials. + Make suggestions and share ideas with the service manager to move the company forward and grow the department. + Responsible for other duties as required or assigned. **Skills:** Diesel, Diesel engine, Repair, Hydraulics, Electrical, Truck, Troubleshooting, Preventive maintenance, Mechanical, Transmission, Fleet, Pneumatics, Blueprint, Brake, Engine, Diagnosis, Steering, Brake system, Safety **Top Skills Details:** 1 + years of Diesel Tech Experience 1+ year of reading blueprints and following work instructions Must be willing to provide or purchase tools and toolbox **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** Must have High School Diploma or GED. Two-year technical college degree or equivalent . Must be willing to provide or purchase a basic set of tools and lockable toolbox.
