Job Details Description Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 30+ labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Thoele in St. Cloud, MN for a Full-Time Dental-Lab Technician CAD Scanning Trainee. Previous experience is not necessary; we offer paid, hands-on training! The regular hours for this position are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position: - Read prescriptions, examine materials in pan, and make sure case is scheduled accurately according to the prescription. - Scan cases and import I.O.S. Scans. - Train to scan and design Crown and Bridge cases to create 3D virtual models utilizing 3-Shape technology with the goal of meeting production standard of 7 designs per hour. - Calibrate scanners appropriately. - Scan crown and bridge cases. - Wand case batches completed every hour on the hour according to the documented procedure. - Wear proper PPE when performing work tasks that require them and follow safety guidelines as stated in NDX safety policy - Dewax and sort print runs when needed. - Assist model department as needed. - Clean work area in department per schedule - All other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Required: - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. - Must have basic computer skills. - Knowledge of tooth anatomy. - Ability to articulate according to Rx - Identify margins through Impressions - Excellent hand-eye coordination - Strong ability to read, listen, comprehend, retain and execute on written and verbal instructions - High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize work - Strong spatial ability, good eye hand coordination, excellent perception skills and superior attention to details. - Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. - Logical, analytical thinker with the ability to process information and formulate decisions. - Dependable and reliable; willing to take on needed duties to fulfill the goals of this operation and take responsibility for actions. - Able to coordinate and handle a variety of different assignments. - Flexible and open to frequent change, supporting the efforts of the organization. - Technical Knowledge - Knowledge of dental terminology and oral anatomy - Ability to complete essential job functions required at a level that meets the standards for an experienced dental technician - Interpersonal/Communication/Teamwork Skills - Takes a proactive approach to situations - Educate and motivate others within department - Accepts and offers feedback in a tactful manner - Ability to use surrounding resources if questions arise - Assist with supporting open communication within organization - Decision making skills - Prioritize workload so that cases run efficiently through department - Handle last minute rush cases properly as needed - Takes steps to resolve an issue or problem Minimum Education and Experience Required: - Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent - Must have 12 months of experience or specified skills required for CAD/CAM Department or be a Recognized Graduate (RG) by National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used: - Computers - Dewax Oven - 3D Printers Physical Requirements: - Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach. - Regularly required to exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions using both arms and hands grasping, gripping, pinching, lifting, and carrying. Constantly lifing & carrying 0-10 lbs. - Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation. - Ability to effectively communicate technical information. - Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color.
