The Custodial Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness, disinfecting, and light maintenance in areas such as; offices, classrooms, conference rooms, lounges, dorms, apartments, kitchens, dining, bathrooms, showers, lockers, pool decks, gym floors etc., as assigned in all of our Academic and Residential Buildings. Plan, prepare for and complete all tasks as outlined on detailed task list for building(s) assigned according to specified procedures. 2. Keep all areas assigned hazard free utilizing proper precautions and signage while performing tasks. 3. Work on special projects such as set up/takedown tasks related to Facilities Maintenance Department for the campus at the direction of the Facility Director and or the Custodial Maintenance Team Leaders/Supervisors. 4. Clean and maintain all equipment to the level required by the maintenance schedule for each item of equipment. Store equipment in proper storage areas. Report on a work order any hazards or major repairs. 5. Report all maintenance requests on the online computer work order system School Dude. Report Emergency requests to security phone #5000 or via the most expedient communication available. 6. Secure and maintain the safe use of all chemicals used in the cleaning process to include labeling, maintenance of MSDS binder in building, personal protective gear and training of staff and students in proper use and disposal. 7. Do monthly checks of all safety equipment under direction of Facility Director. Must be aware of and follow all college safety procedures and policies. B. Student Employee Supervisor 1. Be involved in the hiring/dismissal process. 2. Make out time schedule and task assignments. 3. Instruct students in performance of tasks assigned. 4. Oversee student s performance and safety training. 5. Do timely student performance appraisals. C. General Responsibilities 1. Unlock doors according to schedule of areas assigned. 2.
