**Position Coordinator Line, Shell** **Reports to: Production Supervisor** **Location: Sauk Rapids, MN** **Shift: 1** **Job Summary:** The Shell Line Coordinator is responsible for assisting in organizing, inspecting, material handling and balancing work within the department to meet production deadlines. Responsibilities also include performing Auto Cell operations, Sewer 1operations, and training new employees in these areas. **Job Duties:** · Operate an automatic sewing machine to join materials together. · Position pre-cut fabric and components (reflective, tabs, patches, or labels) to be joined under the presser foot/clamp and needle. · Operates single, multiple-needle, or automatic machines to join pre-cut materials, and/or attach zippers to other hardware. · Starts and stops and controls speed of machine with controls and guides parts under needle following edges, seams or markings on pre-cut materials. · Monitors stitching to detect defects to ensure acceptable quality. · Selects thread and other components according to bill of material. · Thread machine, winds and changes the bobbin. · May Cut excessive material or thread with scissors / nippers when necessary. · Routinely check fabric for defects, runs, stains, missed stitches, etc. · Performs required daily machine maintenance and adjustment. Includes but is not limited to adjusting thread tension, dusting machine, wipe off oil, adjust stitches per inch. · Notifies sewing machine repair person when experiencing problems with machine. · Completes required documentation including but not limited to recording production quantities, downtime, scrap, traceability, component usage · Responsible for injury prevention and promoting safety by keeping work area neat, clean and organized. · Participates in employee wellness and exercise program. · Performs miscellaneous other assignments as required. · Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements as listed above between the assigned start and end times for work. · This position will be training primarily on recreational items including but not limited to: Boat Cushions, Infant, Child/Youth Basic, Child/Youth Deluxe, Adult Basic and Adult Deluxe, and Puddle Jumpers. · Training will primarily be on; Large Automatic Machines and Single Needle Sewing Machines · Assist in organizing, transporting and balancing work assignments for employees to ensure proper workflow. · Bring in work for employee workstations, organize by lot number and place in designated area to be finished. · Determine from the cut work what raw materials and/or critical components are needed, notify supervisor for placing order. · Assist in keeping work are clean, neat and organized. · Able to read production order and BOM to accurately pull components from component racks. + Order raw materials and keeporganized, assuring traceability is being performed and followed. + Document Traceability and input into SAP + Adhere to production schedule based on direction fromSupervisor + Performing quality audits **Minimum Qualifications:** + **Teamwork:** Contributesto building a positive work environment. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating instructions, procedure manuals. Ability tocommunicate with other employees in the organization or notify assignedpersonnel there is an issue that needs to be addressed. Interpreterwill be provided by Coleman as required to confirm understanding. + **Mathematical Skills:** Ability to read numbers, count, add, subtract, multiplyand divide using whole numbers, common fractions, anddecimals. Measure using a ruler. + **Reasoning Ability:** Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout written or oral instructions. Ability to comply with company'sand regulatory agencies quality standards. Interpreter will beprovided by Coleman as required to confirm understanding. + **Physical Demands:** While performing the duties of this job, the employeemust be able to stand for extended periods of time. The employee isrequired to use fingers, hands and arms to operate machines and reach for,hold, grasp, push/pull, and handle material repetitively with a highdegree of dexterity.
