Job Description **DUE TO NEW CMS REGULATIONS, OUR TEAM WILL ADHERE TO FEDERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES REGARDING COVID TESTING**: General Purpose: Assist the Community Life Director in ensuring the development, organization and coordination of facility and community resources designed to meet the needs and interests of each resident to encompass the seven dimensions of wellness. Essential Job Functions: * Maintain community life systems as required by state/federal regulations * Promote and integrate the wellness dimensions into the community life programs * Provide individual programming determined by resident preference and need * Communicate and coordinate the Wellness and Community Life functions with other departments in a constructive manner that helps build team rapport and effectiveness * Communicate programs and develop positive relations with residents, family, and volunteers * Participate in Care Conferences * Attend and participate in Community Life department and other required meetings * Maintain Community Life department and other community supplies and equipment * Adhere to universal precautions and sanitary, safety and infection control policies and procedures * Work with volunteers as assigned by CL Department Supervisor * Assist with planning and leadership of special events as assigned * Ability to obtain training to drive community van for resident outings * Provide orientation and training to staff as needed, including participating in new hire onboarding and in-service education * All other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Must be a certified nursing assistant or willing to become certified with in 6 months of hire * Exceptional telephone and communication skills * Must have a passion for working with older adults * Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance * Advanced computer skills * Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required.
