Job Details Description POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of commercial loan documents. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Creates loan documents for commercial and agricultural loans, including government sponsored programs and reviews documents for compliance with credit approval. •Reviews entity organizational documents to ensure the proper documentation has been obtained and the appropriate party(ies) are signing loan documents. •Reviews both pre-close and post-close title work to ensure lien position is properly understood and protected. •Understands the perfection of security interests in all types of collateral. •Addresses discrepancies and deficiencies within the due diligence review process. •Ensures proper documentation has been obtained, provided, and/or completed to support the loan transaction. •Indexes loan documents to electronic storage system. •Understands, reviews, and tests the commercial loan document generation systems. •Keeps abreast of rules, regulations and Credit Union policy relating to commercial loans. •Maintains understanding of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) reporting requirements. •Ensures HMDA reportable transactions have applicable data points entered correctly into loan documentation generation system. Participates in the review of HMDA exceptions reports and completes necessary maintenance to address identified exception(s). •Shares knowledge with other lending staff. •Recommends, sells and educates members about Credit Union products and services. Makes referrals to appropriate departments. •Actively participates in community relations efforts to contribute to the mission and visibility of the Credit Union. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Two year degree in a business related field, plus experience in a financial institution preferred; or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through two plus years work experience preparing commercial loan documentation in a financial institution or law firm.
