About Tru-Stone Technologies Sign-on bonus of $4000.00 for this position. Starrett Tru-Stone Technologies is currently seeking a CNC MACHINIST FOR OUR 2ND SHIFT . We are looking for detail oriented, quality minded candidates to join our team. Come build products using granite and other materials to be used in the semi-conductor and other industries. You will work in our state-of-the-art, climate controlled facility located in Waite Park, Minnesota. We are in close proximity to St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Clearwater and other central Minnesota cities/towns. We offer a $3,000.00 sign-on bonus for skilled candidates. Plus an additional $1000.00 for 2nd shift. Position Summary Operate a variety of CNC Milling machines to safely produce products that meet all Starrett Tru-Stone quality requirements. Monitor products on a continuous basis to ensure products are of prescribed quality and meet both Customer and Company expectations, requirements, and standards Essential Functions - Follow established work procedures, perform work assignments as required to meet safety, quality and production goals. - Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine. - Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as indicators and vernier calipers. - Blueprint reading and comprehension including lay out, measure, and mark material. - Machines care and preventative maintenance - Measure and examine machined parts to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measurement instruments. - Programming and 5 axis a plus. EDUCATION - Trade school or equivalent Experience - At least 6 months CNC and manufacturing experience Position Qualifications - Basic knowledge of inspection tools, including their uses and maintenance. - Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications. - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. - The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
