Compensation: This position will be hourly when at a part time status. This position will be salary when at full time status. Annual salary will range from $52,000-$60,000 depending on experience and education. Purpose Statement: The role of the Behavior Analyst is to: - Support the individuals served through services that provide: - Assessment of the person and situation to determine the factors precipitating the crisis. - Development of a provider intervention plan in coordination with the service-planning team. - Consultation and training to the provider(s) and/or caregiver(s) to ensure successful implementation of the provider intervention plan. - Ongoing technical assistance to the caregiver or provider to implement the provider intervention plan. - Recommendations for service plan revision to prevent or minimize future crisis situations and increase the likelihood of maintaining the person in the community - Mentor and train Behavioral Technicians to provide the highest quality of care to our residents Behavior Analyst Job Roles/Responsibilities: (Essential Functions) - Complete Assessments, Objective Observation and Programmatic Design to promote independence (not dependence) with clients offering choices and fostering self-help skills - Observe abnormal signs and symptoms, or changes in clients’ condition and communicate this to interdisciplinary team - Work independently, think critically, and cultivate a solution-focused mindset - Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to embrace change - Communicate effectively and collaborate well with other members of the interdisciplinary team - Provide modeling and other direct instructional support including, but not limited to: practicum supervision/teaching and in-service instruction to other professional - Assess, Analyze and Develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach new skills and replacement behaviors with an effort to reduce interfering/target behaviors - Keep current with literature, new research findings and resources - In addition, continuing education courses to maintain professional licensing certification as necessary - Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with Bridges MN staff - Be compassionate and work with tact and ethical awareness - Support the mission, vision and values of Bridges MN and EMPOWER Department - Adhere to MN State Statutes, code of ethics, insurance requirements, and Bridges MN policy and procedures - Develop positive relationships that support residents and clients in meeting their goals - Provide assessment, evaluation, and service planning to residents and clients - Conduct evaluations and implement a variety of approaches in response to symptoms of mental illnesses - Assist staff with developing appropriate screening tools and consult and train staff in behavioral and motivational techniques as needed - Ensure adequate training for staff is current and provide coaching as needed - Coordinate work with others as part of a team to deliver quality services - Complete all necessary documentation in compliance with the state and federal regulations and Bridges MN’s policy requirements - May include but not be limited to daily data sheets, clinic notes, attendance logs, time records, incident reports, behavior reports, accident reports, etc - Will work directly with service recipients and their staff to provide services - At no time will this role consist of replacing direct care staff or work alone with a service recipient for more than 3 hours per week - Other duties as assigned Behavior Analyst Required Skills and Experience: (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge skills and abilities) - Master’s degree in: Masters with focus in ABA (BCaBA, on track to obtain BCBA), Licensed Graduate Social Worker (receiving supervision), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Practice Clinical Counselor, BCBA Certified (or in final semester working towards this certification) - 2+ years of applied experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of Neurodevelopment Disorders and/or Mental Illness - Expertise in Minnesota Prohibited, Restricted and Permitted Procedures - Expertise in De-escalation techniques - Experience and Confidence coaching, supporting and teaching others - Must have a valid driver’s license - Demonstrate competent use of evidence-based approaches - Knowledge and use of DSM-V to inform practice and assessment - CPR Certification or obtain within 30 days of hire - Must pass a Department of Health and Human Services Background Check - Knowledge and experience in 245D HCBS provider services and policies Behavior Analyst Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful) - Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor - Training or certification in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, SFBT, DBT, EMDR, Brain Spotting, RBT, ABA, PBS, PCT, PCP - Knowledge and experience with trauma informed practices -
