You have a deep understanding of the application you work on, and you ensure this knowledge is shared and incorporated into the Agile process. You have a strong sense of leadership as you coordinate with development and operations to ensure proper test case coverage for all application development. You are responsible for coaching software engineers to create and execute various forms of automated testing and solving complex issues. Working side by side with software engineers to improve overall software quality and recommend opportunities for improvement. - Attend all Agile ceremonies for the agile teams you serve. Requirements, Sprint Planning - lead discussions around test case scenarios ensuring proper coverage. - Lead test plan reviews as needed. - Drives, coordinates, and communicates the required business workflows and use cases for the application in conjunction with management. - Trains all team members on the application, providing an understanding of all application features in conjunction with management. - Meets regularly with Operations to collect feedback and ensure client perspective is represented in future development. - Provides feedback to management on professional development of Agile team members. - Able to influence others within the team due to strong relationships, application knowledge, respect, and trust. - Articulates and effectively communicates software testing issues, expected long and short-term impacts and possible resolution alternatives to ensure test planning schedules are met. - Ensures testing gaps are mitigated. - Sought out by others for advice and solutions. - Conduct in-depth exploratory testing to provide coverage of non-automated scenarios. Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Business or Computer Science or Engineering - 5 years of experience in Information Technology or Paychex specific product knowledge or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Strong leadership capabilities in the areas of customer service, problem resolution, technical, and communication. - Familiarity with testing, automation, and SDLC workflow tools. - Working knowledge of database and browser technologies and tools. - Familiarity with Test Automation frameworks and tools such as Gauge, Cucumber, Sauce labs, Selenium etc. - Experience in a collaborative work environment with iterative software life cycle.
