The COVID Clinic Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the team with the successful execution of the COVID clinics. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming patients and provides premier customer service, both in person and on the phone. This individual will provide support by coordinating and scheduling appointments for incoming vaccinations, creating/updating patient records, verifying insurance information, scanning the necessary documents into the system, scheduling follow up appointments and participating in the reminder program. This individual is able review the urgency of patients and prioritize accordingly.All duties to be performed according to the established standard, in compliance with all Company policies and procedures, and State and Federal laws and statutes while maintaining reliable, prompt attendance and availability for overtime as needed:Effectively coordinate and schedule initial and follow up appointments for incoming vaccinations, while reviewing the urgency of patients and prioritizing accordingly.Ensure patient records are created, evaluated and/or updated accordingly within the system. When necessary, ensuring all documents are scanned into the dedicated system.Responsible for the verification of patient insurance information and the processing & distribution of application intake forms to the appropriate destination.Effectively manage the generation of daily and weekly reports as requested from the Pharmacy Department and assist with the filing of the COVID screening questionnaire.Answer phones cheerfully, professionally, and timely to accurately collect all necessary information from patients, providers and vendors and, if needed, triage calls appropriately.Provide premier customer service, both in person and on the phone.
