Omni Training Facility

Omni: meaning ALL; Without Limits. Omni Training is an inclusive fitness facility in Waite Park, MN. “Inclusive meaning all abilities. We specialize in adaptive training for people with different abilities. We include individuals with different abilities in all of our group classes, our training programs, and all of our events” shared co-founder of Omni, Leah Egan.

Almost 3 years ago we share the story of Omni Training Facility, and what they’re doing continues to blow us away. “We started Omni because we saw a huge need for an adaptive fitness facility that includes those individuals with everyone else in the same gym doing classes and fitness together.” She was inspired to create her own facility where people WITH and WITHOUT physical limitations could exercise together in a safe, accessible, and inclusive space. So in the summer of 2019 Leah, and her fiance  (then boyfriend), Colin Briscoe, opened Omni Training Facility in Waite Park.

Leah & Colin aren’t originally from Central MN but met and watched their dreams come to life here. “We met through volunteering with St. Cloud Minnesota Special Hockey and got engaged 2 years later. We both love training and working out with everyone and we found a huge need for a fitness facility that is set up and inviting for people of all abilities, especially people who use wheelchairs. We put a lot of ideas to work and created a space for all kinds of fitness styles, Sports Strength & Conditioning, Olympic Weightlifting, PowerLifting, Functional Fitness, we have had a little bit of just about every kind of workout at Omni.”

Omni has a fundraiser on the horizon in June. “Our big fundraiser event this summer is our Coffland Hero Challenge 2022 – Veteran fundraiser for Catch-a-Lift! The event is on June 25th at 4pm and includes inflatable bounce houses for kids, food for the family, vendors, and an all-ability, family-friendly workout!” All proceeds go to “Catch-A-Lift”, a nonprofit which helps Veterans pay for their gym memberships year-round.

Since 2010, the Catch A Lift Fund has helped thousands of post 9/11 combat-injured veterans regain their mental and physical health through gym memberships, in-home gym equipment, personalized fitness and nutrition programs, and a peer support network. Catch A Lift vets are seeing and feeling results including dramatic weight loss, reduction in medications, improved sleep patterns, and strengthened relationships with family and friends, thanks to their healthier lifestyle. Their veteran testimonials attest that CAL has “saved their lives”; the greatest impact of all.

Every Sunday they also offer a FREE workout for Veterans or active service members called “Hero Sundays” – we love it. “Omni Training Facility is a welcoming facility that accepts all abilities. Even if you have never worked out in a gym before, we are a great place to start!
